Alumni and friends are welcome to join us in Switzerland for Homecoming 2017 The following events are planned for all alumni who are able to join us:
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2017
Welcome Reception at the College
4:30 to 6:00 pm – Complimentary
Join your classmates for a wine-and-cheese reception, hosted by Bill Boyer, Head of School. Tour the school buildings and meet our Student Ambassadors from the Class of 2017.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2017
Désalpes in Lignières
12:30 to 4:00 pm – $30 CAD per person
Join NJC staff and students on an excursion to nearby Lignières for the 41st annual “Désalpes”, the parade of head-dressed cows as they are brought down from the mountains for the winter. Music, food booths, Swiss alpenhorns and the parade make for a festive atmosphere in Lignières. Alumni will meet at NJC to board a bus for the short ride to Lignières, and will return by bus to NJC in late afternoon.
Pinte de Pierre-à-Bôt Alumni Dinner
6:30 to 9:00 pm – $90 CAD per person
Enjoy traditional Swiss cuisine featuring an appetizer of cured meats, main course cheese fondue, fruit salad dessert and a glass or two of local wine with your classmates in this beautiful and rustic setting at the golf course clubhouse overlooking Neuchâtel. Alumni and guests will meet at NJC to board a minibus for the short uphill journey to the restaurant. The minibus will return everyone to NJC where the Fête festivities continue downtown.

Registration will open in March 2017!
We have some suggestions for other activities that you and your classmates may want to participate in! We will assist Homecoming registrants in coordinating these additional excursions as Homecoming approaches.

“Brocante” Flea Market in Le Landeron

Since 1973, Fête de la Brocante has taken place in Le Landeron and it has become the largest antique fair in Switzerland. Le Landeron is just a short train ride from Neuchâtel, so you will have lots of time to browse, shop and explore this picturesque medieval town.
