Parent Voice

We are delighted that you are considering NJC for your daughter or son for a grade 12 or enrichment (gap) year. NJC is a unique opportunity that provides your child with the opportunity to take on a greater
degree of independence within a safe and
nurturing environment.

Studying with students from across Canada and around the world; becoming immersed in European culture; travelling as they learn from and experience other cultures and traditions. NJC provides a wonderful preparation for university and for life for young people who are on the threshold of adulthood.

As parents, you will be part of this journey of discovery. In October, our Parents’ Weekend takes place at the College campus in Neuchâtel. During the December break, some families choose to accompany their son or daughter on a Free The Children trip to Kenya, while other families opt to come along on the Zermatt ski week at the end of January.

If travelling with us is not feasible for you, there are other ways to participate. In Canada, throughout the year, NJC alumni and friends are invited to soirées and other events for the College, which you are welcome to attend. Many parents make friends with other NJC families that last a lifetime.

The more you learn about NJC, the more you will see why so many people say, “It was the best year of my life!”
