Celebrate 60 Après Neuch!

Neuchâtel Junior College celebrated its 60th Anniversary last Saturday, October 15th, 2016 with an après-ski themed gala at the beautiful Allstream Centre in Toronto. With over 1000 members of the NJC community in attendance, the evening was full of sparkling ice, sparkling conversation, reunions and reminiscing. Guests mingled in the shadow of a fabulous Matterhorn ice sculpture under a twinkling Zermatt night sky.

Our Volunteer Master of Ceremonies, Marc Kielburger '95 guided us through this spectacular evening, which opened with the first and sixtieth classes (1957 and 2016) leading the guests in the singing of O Canada, followed by a toast proposed by Peter Hebb ’57, who was the first student ever recruited by NJC founder Leonard Wilde for the 1956-1957 school year. Guests were addressed by Dr. Daniel Andreae ’72, the Lead Patron of the 60th Anniversary Gala, Bill Boyer, current Head of School and Honorary Gala Co-Chairs, Toby Jenkins, Parent ’16 and Anthony Lacavera ’93 prior to participating in a very successful Live Auction, hosted by Stephen Ranger of Waddingtons.

Guests enjoyed a Swiss-Canadian inspired three course meal and chocolate truffles flown in from Switzerland for Gala night, before dancing the night away with The Carpet Frogs and DJ Ryan Horne.

Neuchâtel Junior College is so thankful for the enthusiasm and generosity of its community. Merci et à la prochaine! Enjoy this photo gallery of the event!
