Class of 2015 Graduation Ceremony
The Class of 2015 graduated on Friday, June 12th in a beautiful ceremony. The event was attended by over 200 guests, including students' proud families and a number of pension families too. Class of 2015 Valedictorian, Kienan Holash of Saskatchewan delivered a heartfelt address which superbly captured the essence of the year.
Guest speakers included Chair of the Swiss Board of Governors, Michel Feuz; Chair of the Canadian Advisory Committee, Gordon Piercey; Head of School, William Boyer, and Alumni President, Philip Chambers '00. We were also very honoured to have Mr. R.H. Thomson address the audience, for he is a Canadian who is doing very important work internationally through his project, The World Remembers.
Now officially the newest members of NJC's alumni ranks, the Class of 2015 is preparing for the next adventure at university. Among hundreds of offers, 87 percent have chosen to attend universities across Canada, of which 49 percent are going to Queen's, McGill or Western. The balance of the Class—13 percent— will be studying in the US or UK, including Middlebury College, Parson's School of Design and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland to name a few. Congratulations!
