Mixing Volleyball with Swiss Culture

Mixing Volleyball with Swiss Culture

On Saturday, February 9th, our boys’ volleyball team was invited to the International School of Bern to play a friendly match against the host school. Our team of twelve boys played five matches winning three and dropping two. We then enjoyed a rösti or fundue lunch in a restaurant in the heart of the city of Bern, after which, most of the boys then spent the day in the capital city exploring the open air market and/or shopping. Some went to visit Einstein’s house. Albert Einstein lived in Bern for seven years and published his first five papers there, including the one explaining his theory of relativity. Our girls’ volleyball team has been invited to play a friendly match as well which we plan to arrange with IS Bern hopefully next month.
