Model UN in St. Petersburg
The Model United Nations conference in St. Petersburg, Russia was another unqualified success. Our team of 13 students represented either Guatemala or Luxembourg under the watchful guidance of Ms. Gollert and Ms. Solnicki. After the conference had concluded, the students toured the world famous Hermitage museum, the palaces of the former Russian aristocracy including the summer palace, and the Yusupov palace, as well as the Peter and Paul castle, among other historic monuments in this European-designed city of the former USSR. Although the weather was typically quite cold, the group enjoyed five days of sunshine in a city that averages only 60 days of sunshine a year!
