Student Support
Advisor Programs
It takes a special student to take the leap unto unfamiliar surroundings. Neuchâtel strives to ease the transition by offering its students a faculty advisor as a point of contact. The role of the advisor is to support their students beyond the classroom, and help guide him/her in matters relating to academic progress and day-to-day activities.
College Guidance Services
Neuchâtel has a vested interest in knowing that its remarkable student body feels supported in making the right decisions about their post-secondary education. Each individual student is paid careful attention by the College Guidance Team, which consists of our Director of University Guidance & Counseling and a Guidance Administrator.
The Guidance Office at Neuchâtel Junior College provides services in:
- Career and University planning (University program requirements, University applications, interest & aptitude testing, scholarships & bursaries, résumé writing, and interview skills)
- Academic Counseling (course selection, study skills)
- Personal Counseling
Personal & Social Development (PSD)
The College conducts bi-weekly Personal & Social Development sessions to ensure that each student is on the right track, personally and academically. These sessions cover a spectrum of topics including university admission, substance abuse, stress management, and general wellness.
