A Day with Holocaust Survivor Israel Unger

Staff and students had the unique opportunity to hear Israel Unger, Holocaust survivor, speak about his experience hiding in an attack crawl space above a flour mill in Tarnów, Poland during the war.
Born in 1938, Israel Unger immigrated to Canada in 1951 and is Dean Emeritus of Science at the University of New Brunswick. Israel Unger was one of fifty Holocaust survivors to be honoured by the Government of Canada in 1998 in connection with the fiftieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

We are so grateful to the Canadian Embassy in Switzerland for the chance to meet Israel Unger here on campus.  Neuchâtel Junior College is proudly Canadian!
