There is a new measure of independence gradually extended to our students, but all within the care of a small, attentive community of educators and Swiss families. We treat students as the young adults that they are becoming, to prepare them for the freedoms, challenges and expectations that university life will soon present.

At NJC, I’ve learned that, indeed, the world is anything but a ‘comfortable’ place. Constant change is our new norm. People like myself need the curious mindset, the willingness to learn, and resiliency-born of challenging, diverse, and uncomfortable experiences-to meet these opportunities head on.
