  • Solar Panel Pavillion

The Donation Match has been Extended and Expanded!

Over the summer, we received excited emails and notes from alumni and parents who were thrilled to hear about an innovative new energy initiative and a restoration of the Foyer. As one of Mr. Keleher’s first projects as the new Head of School, he will be overseeing the installation of a solar panel roof on the Pavillon this fall. The system will provide our students with access to clean, affordable electricity that doesn’t harm the environment and will reduce our considerable energy costs.

We haven’t yet reached our ambitious target of raising $60,000 in support of the project and now there is more time to make a donation and have it matched.

  • Scholarships and Bursaries

  • Campus and Infrastructure Improvements

A modern, responsibly-maintained campus is intrinsic to NJC’s quest to inspire higher learning and growth in our students.

As our campus ages and the technological needs of the school increase, it is vital that we continuously and strategically invest in our campus. This is essential because we know that the quality of our campus has a direct effect on producing the best student experience possible.

  • Class Funds

Class reunions are shared milestones – occasions for our graduates to observe their place in NJC’s history, to reflect on what the College has given to them, and to renew their ties.

Reunions, no matter the size, are also celebrations during which friends may rally to focus their fundraising efforts in support of one of the school’s charitable programs. Examples of such funds include the Class of '61’s Endowed Lecture Series or the Class of ‘60s Endowed Travel Bursary. While some initiatives are invested in the endowment, others are disbursed immediately, such as The DuPasquier Award in French Proficiency, which was created in honour of a respected and well-loved teacher.

  • Endowment

Endowment funds are essential to the long-term stability of any academic institution. It is the legacy that one generation of alumni and past parent donors can leave to ensure the strength and permanence of an institution. A donation to the endowment is a gift that will support the school in perpetuity since only the return on the capital is utilized as a source of funds. Gifts to the endowment may be made in support of the funds listed above, or special initiatives, including capital projects and curriculum enhancements.

  • Legacy Giving

The generosity and commitment of NJC donors is of great importance to our school, and makes a significant impact on the lives and futures of our students.

Many of our donors choose to support NJC during their lifetimes through the Annual Fund, while others choose to include the college in their financial plans. There are a variety of ways to provide for the school and such options may include leaving a bequest after you have gone. Alternatively, some may wish to witness the results of their philanthropy by establishing a named fund through our endowment.
