Ms. Kristin Young

Chemistry and Physics Teacher
BEngSci University of Western Ontario
BEd University of Western Ontario

Ms. Kristin Young’s career path was profoundly influenced by a service project in Kenya during high school. Concern surrounding the role of water in Africa inspired her to pursue studies in Engineering Science at the University of Western Ontario, where she was a member of the third graduating class that specialized in Green Process Engineering. In her final year, Ms. Young realized that her true passion lay in teaching and in education and so upon graduation, decided to obtain her BEd from Western University, rather than continue on a traditional engineering path. Ms. Young was the Science Lead at Blyth Academy in Burlington, teaching senior level math and science.

She is thrilled to be a part of the teaching faculty at Neuchâtel Junior College, and hopes that her love of math and science will inspire students to consider a future in STEM.
