Deborah Kimmerly discovered the power of "living a language" and learning about new cultures when she went on her first bilingual exchange to Kamouraska, Quebec at the age of 12. This experience sparked her love for the French language and inspired her to participate in many more exchanges and immersion programs before earning an Honours degree in French at the University of Toronto and Université Laval.

She brings a wealth of experience to Neuchâtel Junior College with experience in the private and educational sectors. She has worked in Corporate Training, Account Management and headed up Marketing Communications for a division of Toshiba of Canada. Deborah has a natural ability to communicate and connect with people – a skill that helped her engage, motivate and inspire her students when she made a radical career change and entered the classroom in 2003.

A firm believer that life is best lived just beyond your comfort zone, Deborah has travelled extensively, sailed a 48’ boat in rough open waters en route to Anguilla and hiked many steep mountain paths throughout Europe - her favourite of which was the Schafberg near St. Wolfgang, Austria. After living and working in Austria for the past three years, Deborah is thrilled to be back in Toronto as the Managing Director in Neuchâtel Junior College’s Canadian office.
