NJC alumnus Dr. Daniel Andreae '72 awarded Humanitarian of the Year

Neuchâtel Junior College would like to congratulate Dr. Daniel Andreae '72 for recently being selected by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for the esteemed Humanitarian of the Year Award.
The Humanitarian of the Year Award is given to one individual who has consistently demonstrated outstanding benevolence and made countless contributions to society throughout their entire professional careers.

Dr. Andreae is being recognized for this honour for having over two decades of professional experience in higher education, his dedication to the profession, his originality of thought and his passion for educating himself and those around him. Dr. Andreae believes that "Education is not just an intellectual exercise; it is most effective when the head meets the heart and knowledge can be applied to enhance the quality of one's life on all levels; educational, physical, spiritual and social."

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Andreae has received numerous awards and accolades for his outstanding leadership and commitment to Psychology and Higher education. Looking forward, Dr. Andreae would like to continue to motivate students to learn and also to do more public education in the community. Looking back, Dr. Andreae attributes his success to his pursuit of knowledge, utilizing his experiences, his passion for his research and to helping people.

Dr. Andreae is an Associate Adjunct Professor at Renison University College, University of Waterloo and Professor at the University of Guelph Humber. Born in Canada, Dr. Andreae holds a Doctorate of Education from the University of Toronto. His Masters in Clinical Social Work was earned at Wilfrid Laurier University. Dr. Andreae earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from York University in Toronto. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Assumption University in Windsor, Ontario and in 2020 will receive one from Laurentian University in Sudbury.
