DÉSALPE DE LIGNIÈRES
For Alumni planning on arriving earlier, join NJC staff and students on Saturday September 21 for an excursion to nearby Lignières for the annual "Désalpe", the centuries-old tradition of the parade of the cows as they are brought down from the mountains for the winter. Flower-adorned cows and goats, traditional music, food stalls, Swiss alpenhorns, local arts and crafts, and the lively parade make for a festive atmosphere in Lignières.
Alumni will meet at NJC to board a bus for the short ride to Lignières, and will return by bus to NJC in late afternoon.
